1. How does the Cell Theory explain the relationship between living things and cells?

  1. Cell theory: Cells are the basic unit of structure in every living thing. Relationship: A cell is a fundamental unit of structure, function and organization in all living organisms. All living organisms are made up of one or more cells.

  2. It states that all organisms are composed of similar units of organization, called cells.
    The theory states that:
    1. all known living things are made up of cells.
    2. the cell is structural & functional unit of all living things.
    3. all cells come from pre-existing cells by division.
    4. cells contains hereditary information which is passed from cell to cell during cell division.
    5. All cells are basically the same in chemical composition.
    6. all energy flow (metabolism & biochemistry) of life occurs within cells.

  4. The cell is the fundamental unit of living things and it describes the properties of an organism as the total of the properties of its component cells.
    [Like for example:
    -Living things are decomposed as maggots and other living creatures developed in decaying tissues, which are also made up of cells.]

  5. Cell Theory is that cells are the basic unit of structure in every living thing, which that cells are just 1 block of a living thing. Living things are made of lots of different cells. Cells only make up of 1 bit of a living thing.
